1. How to install

To install the Microsoft Windows Printing System on Windows NT, 
start up the [Add Printer Wizard] then select Wpsc3nt.inf file in the 
[Locate File] dialog box. Administrator privileges are needed to 
install the Microsoft Windows Printing System to [My Computer].

2. When some problem happens

When some problem happens to printing with the Canon LBP-660, and 
if you are unable to determine the cause of the problem, start up
the [Canon LBP-660 Trouble Shooter] utility installed in the Windows 
Printing System group. The Trouble Shooter can resolve problems with 
the settings or installed files.

3. Parallel port setting

Using the ECP printer port is recommended if your PC supports. It is
especially effective when the [Reduce Computer Use While Printing!] 
happens. You can change the printer port setting by BIOS setup.

4. Printing from Command Prompt

Because the Windows Printing System for Windows NT does not support 
PCL emulation, you cannot print from the Command Prompt (Windows NT) or 
the MS-DOS Prompt (Windows 95). Use Windows applications to print.

5. Test Page printing after installation

When you print a Test Page after installation selecting in the 
Add Printer Wizard, extra files are listed on the Test Page than normal 
case and letters on the bottom line are partially clipped. This behavior
will not happen after restart Windows NT.

6. Printing On-Line Help

If you want to print the contents of the On-Line Help, start up the 
[Canon LBP-660 Help] from the Windows Printing System group.

7. Toner Saver

Using Toner Saver mode, the objects filled with some graphic patterns 
may not be printed as shown on the display.

8. Custom paper size

Using custom paper size, throughput of the continuous printing and 
display of the page counts may slightly delay due to flexible paper 
length.

9. Uninstalling network printer that other user connected

When you execute the [Canon LBP-660 Uninstallation] on the PC that other
user have already connected to the Canon LBP-660 network printer 
servers, information of the Canon LBP-660 network printer that other 
user connected will not be removed. In this case, other user should 
remove his Canon LBP-660 printer icon before you execute uninstallation.

10. Halftone

The Printer Halftone settings are valid when printing colored bitmap, 
area filling, and colored text. However the Smooth setting is only 
valid when printing colored bitmap.
On the other hand the System Halftone settings are only valid when 
printing colored bitmap.

11. Trouble Shooter

When you repair installed files by using the [Canon LBP-660 trouble 
Shooter] utility, you see a dialog box requiring a floppy disk even 
if you have a installer CD-ROM disk. In this case, insert the CD-ROM 
in the CD-ROM drive and click OK button. Then select the prescribed 
directory in the CD-ROM.

12. Hold mismatched documents

The Canon LBP-660 does not support "Hold mismatched documents" check 
box of "Scheduling" tab in "Canon LBP-660 Properties" dialog box. 
Don't check "Hold mismatched documents".
